The light of day held no candle to the soft glow of the night. In the soft edges of darkness, there were no loud sounds, no sensory hurts. It was healing, calm, peaceful. The only monsters there were the kids who stayed up to stare at the sky, holding hands in the dark, willing time to wait a while.
