I use reading glasses and a magnifying glass now to see what tablets to take today. They line my dresser like little soldiers. Ready to take on the day.

I squint to even see what day it is. Friday. An extra soldier today then. One for the rhythm, one for the pressure, one for the bumps along the way and an extra one for the flood gates.

Where are the years that we joked about getting here? Sitting down in our make believe porch swings that no one can afford. Sipping on coffee that no one can drink anymore. All our gall bladders shot to dust.
